Winter in Ukraine means freezing temperatures of -10°C to -14°C.
It means freezing apartments, darkness in homes, and constant shelling that deprives people of light, water, and heating — the basic conditions for survival. Children are among the most vulnerable! Schools are forced to send children home because they cannot provide basic warmth, light, or safety. Children are left in cold apartments, unable to study, sleep properly, or feel secure.
Russia has destroyed over 80% of Ukraine's power generation capacity in numerous calculated attacks on civilian infrastructure needed for survival. Most regions are suffering from critical power outages. The capital, Kyiv is in its worst energy crisis since the invasion began, with millions of people enduring rolling blackouts that last 12+ hours daily.
This isn't just inconvenience. Without power, there's no heat, no hot water, no light. Hospitals can't function. Schools send children home to freezing apartments. The elderly and sick are at critical risk.
